About RTIC    

           The Rajanagarindra Tropical Disease International Centre (RTIC) was established through the endeavors of the Department of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University Bangkok. The Tropical Disease Trust Fund, under the Honorary Chairmanship of Her Royal Highness PrincessGalyani Vadhana KromLuang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra, provided the funding for construction of the centre. Its construction began in January 2000 and was completed in November of the same year. The RTIC was inaugurated on Faculty of Tropical Medicine

           The Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, Bangkok is known for doing research projects all over Thailand.

         One of which is the Malaria Research Project that was done in the year 1994 at Suan Phung district, Ratchaburi province. Out of this project was borne other research projects until now. For more than nine years now, the support of the people in Suan Phung has never waned and research projects are as ever welcome and acceptable to the community. Perhaps this is due to the principle of the faculty to give utmost care to the people and provide them with the best service possible. And this principle has resulted into a very successful history of research ventures in the area.
