A simple test to identify genuine artesunate:
Scrape 10% tablet into a test tube.  Add 0.5ml 1M NaOH.
Wait 5 minutes.
Add 1 ml 1.1M acetic acid.
Add 0.5ml fast red TR salt(5mg/ml in DW)
YELLOW colour develops in 5 minutes if GENUINE.

Genuine Guilin Artesunate. The writing on the packaging is more distinct than on that of the fake drug.
