The number of credits assigned to each subject is determined as follows :- |

The lecture or discussion consuming 15 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour. |

The laboratory consuming 30 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour. |
| |
|
Practice or Field study consuming 45 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour. |
| |
|
Independent study consuming 45 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour. |
| |
|
The thesis consuming 45 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour. |

|
|
| Program Start |
| |
The first trimester begins in early April, while the second trimester begins in October and ends in late March. |

English is used in instruction and writing up thesis or thematic paper |

| Duration of Study |
| |
|
Plan A(2): The duration of study must take not less than 11/2 academic years and not more than 5 academic years. |

Plan B: The duration of study must take not less than 1 academic year and not more than 2 academic years. |
| Registration |

Students must register as a full time students. |
| |
|
Students must register not less than 9 credits but not more than 15 credits per regular semester, or up to the recommendation of the advisors. |

Plan A(2)
Student must
| 1. |
Take not less than 24 credits of course work and 12 credits of thesis, total credit for the program not less than 36 credits, with GPA not less than 3.00. |
| 2. |
Pass the English Proficiency Examination offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University , or other qualified institutions, or have a TOEFL score more than 500 or IELTS score more than 6.0. |
| 3. |
Complete research thesis writing and pass oral thesis examination required for graduation according to regulations of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University . |
| 4. |
Thesis research or part of the research must be published in a scientific journal or other scientific publication or be presented in a scientific meeting which provide the proceeding. |
| 5. |
Submit the complete thesis and diskette or CD to the Faculty of Graduate Studies according to “Thesis Requirements”. |
| 6. |
Meet other special requirements of the particular program, which has been approved by the Faculty of Graduate studies. |

Student must

Take not less than 30 credits of course work and 6 credits of Thematic paper, total credit for the program not less than 36 credits, with GPA not less than 3.00. |

Pass the English Proficiency Examination offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University , or other qualified institutions, or have a TOEFL score more than 500 or IELTS score more than 6.0. |

Pass Comprehensive Examination required by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University . |
| 4. |
Submit the complete thematic paper and diskette or CD to the Faculty of Graduate studies according to “Thematic paper Requirements”. |
| 5. |
Meet other special requirements of the particular program, which has been approved by the Faculty of Graduate studies. |
