About us
The Department of Clinical Tropical Medicine, one of the first departments within the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University was established by Prof. Emeritus Khunying Tranakchit Harinasuta in 1960. Our missions of clinical research, teaching and training focused on tropical medicine and services in both clinical oriented and practical laboratory oriented themes are intertwined. All three missions are integral to the goals of our Department to be Centre of Excellence for Clinical Tropical Medicine. The Department has a total of 26 academic staff with three professors, five associate professors, six assistant professors, and twelve lecturers. The Department comprises 12 Units.
