Chinese Traditional Medicine (Acupuncture)
Acupuncture has been applied as a therapeutic medical technique in China for more than 2500 years. It is effective and requires only simple and inexpensive equipment. It was introduced to the nearby country of China such as Korea, Japan in the 6th century. European countries have recognized it since the early of 16th century.

During the last two decades, acupuncture has spread worldwide and widely acceptable. There has been growing interest in the therapeutic applications of acupuncture, and a desire to explain its modes of action in terms of modern scientific knowledge. The World Health Organization has been aware of the potential value of acupuncture.

Nowadays, WHO recognizes the use of acupuncture in the treatment of a wide range of medical problems, including:

Digestive disorders: gastritis and hyperacidity, spastic colon, constipation, diarrhea.
Respiratory disorders: sinusitis, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, recurrent chest infections.
Ear-Nose-Throat conditions: cataracts, gingivitis, poor vision, tinnitus and toothache
Neurological and muscular disorders: headaches, facial tics, neck pain, rib neuritis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, various forms of tendinitis, low back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis.
Urinary, menstrual, and reproductive problems: such as dysmenorrheal, dysuria, incontinence.

To enhance the value of a treatment, the following guidelines are important:
Have breakfast before visit our clinic
Do not eat an unusually large meal immediately before or after your treatment.
Wear relatively loose shirt/trousers. Prefer to wear short sleeve shirt.
Close any electronic devices in the clinic including mobile phone.
Do not over-exercise, engage in sexual activity, or consume alcoholic beverages within 6 hours before or after the treatment.
Plan your activities so that after the treatment you can get some rest, or at least not have to be working at top performance. This is especially important for the first few visits.
Continue to take any prescription medicines as directed by your regular doctor. Substance abuse (drugs and alcohol) especially in the week prior to treatment, will seriously interfere with the effectiveness of acupuncture treatments.
