| The International Relations Unit is a coordinating office of the Faculty’s international cooperation activities, under a commanding of the Deputy Dean for International Relations and Networking. The Unit plays an important role to support the Faculty’s tasks and members regarding to international participations and communication as well as conducting international meetings, conferences, seminars, workshops and special training courses. This includes an international elective program in tropical medicine, which provided for international Medical Students, Residents and Interns of universities around the world including researchers, visiting professors, visitors and international honorable guests.
Beside the major international commitments, the Unit also take responsibility as a coordinating office of on-campus Faculty’s collaborating centers which consisting of SEAMEO TROPMED Regional Centre for Tropical Medicine (TROPMED/Thailand), WHO Collaborating Centre for Environmental Management for Diseases Vector Control in Sustainable Development, WHO Collaborating Centre for Clinical Management of Management and Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU)
According to a solid continuing collaboration between the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University and well-known international organizations for over 40 years, the International Relations Unit has been assigned by the Dean to play as a coordinating office in strengthening and supporting the Faculty’s international linkages and MOU almost 40 institutes from more than 15 countries. The Unit also provides Visa facilitating letter for foreigners who work under the Faculty’s international collaborating centers as well as preparing recommendation letters for Visa application for the Faculty’s members. Tourist information for domestic cultural visit is also complimentarily provided.
