Department of Tropical Nutrition and Food Science is responsible for two major international post graduate programs of Master and Doctor of Philosophy in Tropical Medicine, i.e. Nutritional Epidemiology and Biochemical Nutrition, with the objective to develop and update the knowledge of relevant theories, methods, techniques and research skill of scientists involved in the field of health, medical sciences, nutrition and molecular biology. After completion of the course the students will be able to:
1.
Plan, writing research proposal and conducting the research
2.
Apply the knowledge and technologies in the field of tropical medicine to solve the health problems properly
3.
Transfer the knowledge and technologies in the field of tropical medicine to public health personnel
   
Moreover, national short course training on “Methods in nutritional assessment and research” is yearly organized in order to educate personnel working in the field of nutrition and related. Consequently, they can apply the knowledge to routine work in hospital, school canteen, health center and also initiate their own research plan.
