Congratulation for Dean Pratap Singhasiwanon and Deputy Dean Pongrama Ramasoota for being appointed Professor position from Osaka university.  Osaka University is recognized as a leading university, especially in the basic sciences, technology and medical field. The university was ranked the 43^rd among the world's best universities and the 3^rd best Japanese university in 2009, according to the THE-QS World University Rankings.  On behalf of Osaka University President; Washida Kiyokasu, Professor Kazuyoshi Ikuta presented the certificate of Professor Appointed to Dr. Pratap and Dr. Pongrama on 20 October, 2010. The research collaboration between Osaka university and Faculty of tropical medicine, Mahidol university has been very successful. Since late 2009, the collaborative research project “Production of therapeutic antibody against Dengue virus” supported by JICA, has been launched at Faculty of Tropical Medicine. Later in 2010 the new Mahidol Osaka Center for Infectious Diseases (MOCID) has been established, under umbrella of Center of Excellence for Antibody Research (CEAR) of Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University.
