Dean Pratap Singhasivanon welcomed representatives from the University of Liverpool, Professor Samar Hasnain, Professor of Molecular Biophysics, School of Biological Sciences, Professor Steve Ward, Walter Myers Professor of Parasitology, Deputy Director of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and Professor Tom Solomon, Professor of Clinical Infection, Microbiology and Immunology, Institute of Infection and Global Health to the Mahidol-Liverpool Symposium 2012 on June 29, 2012 at Chalermprakiat Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Chalermprakiat Building, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University.
In this occasion, two special lectures regarding Emerging Infectious Diseases were given. The first lecture was Brain Infections: Lessons from the East for the West by Professor Tom Solomon. The second lecture was Drug Discovery Challenges in Tropical Medicine by Professor Steve Ward.
