Thai Traditional Medicine
The Thai Massage more commonly known as Thai Massage, is one of the world's oldest healing modalities. It originated in India during the Buddha's lifetime, over 2500 years ago. It was throught to be discovered by "Father Doctor Shivago Komarpahj", a contemporary of the Buddha. As Buddhism spread out from India, this healing medicine spread with it.
 
Thai believed and culture has been largely influenced by Buddhism. And they believed that illness result from the imbalance of body. The treatment or healing of illness should focus in restore the balance of body including mind and spirit. The Thai Traditional massage, in fact, is one of the four elements of traditional Thai medicine. The remaining elements are nutritional counseling, Thai herbal medicine, and Spiritual healing (mediation).
 
 Nowadays, Thai Traditional massage has been recognized worldwide. It helps relieved pressure and strain all over the body.
 
Thai Traditional massage unit of Hospital for tropical diseases has been established since 2000. All traditional massage practitioners have to complete the study course and get the certificate in Thai traditional massage.
 
All clients must be consulted with qualified medical doctor before being massaged.
