Accreditation/Recognitions

The Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University was awarded renews recognition by the Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review / Forum for Ethical Review Committees in the Asian and Western Pacific Region (SIDCER / FERCAP) for attaining both international and local standards for ethical review. The Certificate of Recognition was presented at the 19th FERCAP General Assembly in Penang, Malaysia on November 27, 2019.

The Ethics Committee at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine was accepted from the Food and Drug Administration Thailand, Ministry of Public Health on August 22, 2023.

The Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, has been recognized by SIDCER/FERCAP for attaining both international and local standards for ethical review. A plaque of recognition was awarded during the 8^th FERCAP General Assembly at the Rama Gardens Hotel, Bangkok , Thailand on 26 November 2008.

The IRB/EC of 17 institutions in 5 countries (China , Thailand , Taiwan , South Korea , and Russia) were recognized and awarded under this program this year. Of these 17, 6 were in Thailand: the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University; the Joint Research Ethics Committee; the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University; the Research Institute for Health Sciences, Chiang Mai University; Health Science Group ERC, Chulalongkorn University; and Khon Kaen University.
