Rationale |
|
The rapid change in the economic, culture and lifestyle have effected the nutritional status in Thai population leading to nutritional problem. Unbalanced dietary intake are the main cause of this problem i.e., obesity, malnutrition and chronic nutritional diseases including diabetes mellitus, artherosclerosis and hypertension. Workshop on Methods in nutritional assessment and research will be managed by Department of Tropical Nutrition and Food Science, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University in order to provide the knowledges and applications to promote as well as intervene the nutritional problems, which may act as a tool to prevent people from the diseases. |

To provide the knowledges about dietary guidelines and the methods of nutritional assessments in various population groups in order to prevent nutritional problems. |

To advise the useful informations and research plans about the nutritional assessments. |

To apply the informative knowledges in daily tasks and research works. |
