Course introduction and details:
  The Elective Program in Tropical Medicine is a one month course jointly organized by the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University with various community hospitals within our collaboration. There will be a maximum of 20 students. This four weeks long intensive and interactive course will have a minimum structured time of 140 tutor contact hours, consisting of lectures on important tropical diseases, medical ward rounds and clinical experiences, laboratory demonstration and practice on medically important parasites prevalent in South-East Asia. Slides and DVD presentation of tropical diseases, health system and clinical practice in Thailand’s community hospital will be included.
Entry requirements:
  Level of Responsibility: Medical doctor or medical student.

Educational Background: Medical doctor or medical students from an approved university/institution.

Language Proficiency:  The course will be conducted entirely in English, and therefore a good command of written and spoken English is essential.
  Experts in tropical diseases particularly in malaria, dengue, parasitic, protozoa infection and HIV/AIDS.
Course fee:
  USD 500 (Five hundred dollars)
