Mosquito insectary<\/h2>

The Department has colonized laboratory strains of important mosquito vectors in taxon of Anopheles, Aedes and Culex including other medically important insects. for example, cockroaches and flies, to provide a large number for research and educational purpose.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n <\/section>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Insecticide unit<\/h2>

The Insecticide Research Unit provides biological testing and analysis service on insecticide products such as mosquito coil, wet insecticide impregnate net. The testing including bioassay of insecticide susceptibility of the insects (especially, mosquitoes, fly and cockroach), the efficacy and persistance of the insecticide products and repellents product followed WHO standard procedure.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n <\/section>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Entomology Laboratory for dengue virus infection (ELDVI)<\/h2>

The Department staffs have initiated about the testing of the dengue vaccine in Aedes mosquitoes since 2016. This vaccination is corroborated with CVD and Kaketsuken Company from Japan (Figure 8-9).
