About Us<\/h2>

The Department of Molecular Tropical Medicine and Genetics was recently established in 2010 with a mission to provide trainings in molecular tropical medicine and be the Faculty driving force in bioinformatics, genomics, and proteomics. Our research is broad, covering topics from parasite biology to cancers, molecular diagnosis, enzymology, and immunotherapy. With the unique resources and infrastructure provided by the Faculty and Mahidol University, we are working in close collaboration with other departments, the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and many institutes in Thailand and abroad. We offer both master (M.Sc. Trop. Med) and doctorate (Ph.D. Trop. Med) international programs. Fellowships are available. The breadth and depth of our research and curriculum provide opportunities for students to work in the laboratory and the field.
