Background

Dr. Rungsunn Tungtrongchitr is Professor in the Department of Tropical Nutrition and Food Science. He received is B.Sc. in Medical Technology, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Tropical Medicine from Mahidol University, Thailand. He teaches and supervises graduate students at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Rungsunn’s research expertise include nutrigenomics, biochemistry, and molecular biology, with special focus on non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and osteoporosis. He is an experienced reviewer for national and international peer-reviewed journals including Obesity Research, European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, and Journal of Viral Hepatitis, to name a few.
