The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Tropical Medicine offers broad areas (multidisciplinary nature of the program) in Tropical Medicine including Protozoology, Helminthology, Medical Entomology, Microbiology and Immunology, Social and Environmental Medicine, Tropical Hygiene, Tropical Nutrition and Food Science, Tropical Pathology and Molecular Tropical Medicine and Genetics  focusing on active learning experience in well-equipped laboratory and at field site to equip graduates with multidisciplinary knowledge and skills in Tropical Medicine. Since 1978, the program has produced 276 graduates who serve as academic leaders and researchers of leading universities and research institutes in Thailand and worldwide. These graduates serve also as Health/Public Health Professionals who influence in areas of Tropical Medicine of Thai governmental organization (e.g. Ministry of Public Health) and private sectors
