Personal Statement
My background is in pathobiology and my expertise is in cell and tissue cultures and the pharmacodynamics of antimalarial drugs. I have been working on two main areas of research: the pathophysiology of malaria infections, and detection of anti-malarial resistance parasites. I am PI and co-investigator in several university- research groups, multicenter studies and on national and international grants. In addition, I successfully have administered the projects of multicenter trials, collaborated with many researchers and published several peer-reviewed publications.
