Background– Cell and Tissue Culture Resource Unit (CTCRU) has been established since 2012. Our research activities are mainly focused on malaria diagnosis, pathophysiology, antimalarial drug resistance, and host-parasite interaction. Human malaria parasites (both asexual and sexual blood stage), endothelial cells, and hepatocytes are being cultured in CTCRU. Recently, 1 M.Sc and 2 Ph.D students are working in our lab. We provide training in antimalarial drug susceptibility assay every year. Over 20 national and international collaborators were established for academic and research capacity building.
