TropMed Dengue Diagnostic Center (TDC)
TDC was established in the year 2006 under support from Pediatric Dengue Vaccine Initiative (PDVI) [currently Global Dengue & Aedes-Transmitted Diseases Consortium (GDAC)] and technical support by Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (AFRIMS). In the beginning, the main objective was to provide dengue laboratory support for dengue researches. It was main laboratory tests include Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), Plaque Reduction Neutralization test (PRNT), reverse transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and viral culture.
