Philosophy and Justification of the Curriculum
Mahidol University's determination statement is to be the ‘Wisdom of the Land’ and aims to produce global professionals who are well equipped with depth and breadth of knowledge. Aligned with that, the Master of Clinical Tropical Medicine (International Program) was established to train medical graduates to become extensively proficient and skillful in clinical tropical medicine and research on tropical diseases, cultivate attitudes and skills in both fundamental and clinical researches being conducted with responsibilities in themselves and
consideration on rights of research participants in line with widely recognized ethical standards
for research.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
By the end of this study, graduates shall have qualifications according to the Criteria
and Standards of Graduate Studies as follows:
- Demonstrate knowledge in common tropical diseases including epidemiology,
clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment, prophylaxis and preventive control - Perform analytical appraisal and clinical research in tropical diseases with
appropriate data presentation - Perform research and medical professional in compliance with ethical and moral
integrity including honesty, punctuality and discipline - Formulate professional teamwork in clinical practice and research
