The program prepares high-quality researchers, educational leaders, health professionals and policy makers who are equipped with multidisciplinary knowledge and professional skills in Tropical Medicine through learning/research experience with premier faculty at the tropical filed site.

The nature of international learners and learning environment of the program foster training of model citizens in analytical and collaborative skills in problem solving of tropical diseases with achievement motivation, moral and ethical manners.

1. Demonstrate ethical consideration and follow the code of conduct for medical practice and research

    

2. Apply all aspects of tropical medicine, including epidemiology, aetiology, disease manifestations, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control during clinical work in the management of patients and in working with communities

    

3. Appraise research articles using informed and reasoned consideration of the results, methods, statistical analysis and assumptions, applying knowledge in tropical medicine

    

4. Organise clinical or related research in tropical medicine that complies with ICH GCP or relevant regulation(s)

    

5. Formulate professional teamwork in clinical tropical medicine

    

6. Communicate effectively using appropriate technologies for data analysis and presentation

    

7. Develop scientific research suitable for publishing in an international peer-reviewed journal and/or presentation at an international conference
