About the Programme
Our Master’s programme in School Health, launched in 2014, is the first and only international programme of its kind in the ASEAN region. Designed for professionals and government-sponsored candidates across Asia and beyond, the programme equips students with the knowledge, skills, and leadership required to implement and transform school health systems in their home countries.
Beginning in Academic Year 2025, the programme is delivered through an updated curriculum under two flexible study plans that meet diverse professional needs:
- Plan 1.2 (Research Track): A 2-year programme combining advanced coursework with independent thesis research. Designed for those aiming to contribute to the knowledge base of school health, students conduct and publish impactful research aligned with national or regional health priorities.
- Plan 2 (Professional Track): A 1-year practice-oriented programme focused on real-world application. Ideal for working professionals, this track emphasizes practical skills through fieldwork, school-community engagement, and a thematic paper addressing pressing school health issues.
The Curriculum
The curriculum integrates multidisciplinary learning across areas such as epidemiology, environmental health, nutrition, communication, and policy leadership. It emphasises outcome-based education, ethical research, cultural competence, and the ability to work across sectors with schools, communities, and health authorities.
With a 100% employment rate and consistently high satisfaction from alumni and employers, the programme is recognised for producing school health leaders who drive change and shape policy at both national and regional levels.
