Exclusively for New Students at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University

The SEAMEO Regional Tropical Medicine and Public Health Network (SEAMEO TROPMED/Network) is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities to support Thai students pursuing their studies at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, for the Academic Year 2026.

Scholarship Details

  • Number of Awards: Up to 10 scholarships available

  • Financial Support: Partial grant of up to 50,000 THB per person

Eligible Programs

  • D.T.M.& H. : Graduate Diploma Program in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene

  • D.B.H.I. : Graduate Diploma Program in Biomedical and Health Informatics

  • M.C.T.M. : Master of Clinical Tropical Medicine

  • M.Sc. (School Health) : Master of Science Program in School Health

Applicant Qualifications

  • Nationality: Must hold Thai nationality.

  • Student Status: Must be a newly admitted, full-time student for the Academic Year 2026 (Student ID: 69xxxxx) enrolled in one of the eligible programs.

📚 For Master of Science Program in Tropical Medicine student year 2026

 

▪️Criteria

  • Nationals from Asia Pacific countries can apply.
  • Applicants need to have successfully completed an Honours degree or equivalent in Entomology, Public Health, Biology, or a related discipline
  • Applicants should have good knowledge of English (a minimum of IELTS score of 6 or TOEFL IBT score of 69)
  •  Applicants should demonstrate an interest in, and commitment to, entomology and the control of vector borne diseases

▪️Financial aspects

The Dr Sylvia Meek Scholarship for Medical Entomology will cover all tuition fees, a research allowance.

  • THB 240,000/year for living costs such as accommodation and board (for two years only)
  • An allowance for travel to Thailand and return home after completion of the programme
  • Visa and health insurance for the duration of the MSc programme (two-and-a-half-year period), by which time the students should finish their degree.
