Wellcome Trust Advanced Course: 
Malaria Experimental Genetics

            The Wellcome Trust Advanced Courses in collaboration with Office of Research Services, Faculty of Tropical Medicine this week hosted a laboratory-based course in “Malaria Experimental Genetics”. The course provided hands-on experience working with two Plasmodium species (P. falciparum and P. knowlesi).  The week-long event brought together students from Mahidol University and other Thai Institutes, Singapore, India and Myanmar. The practical programme was complemented by research presentations by distinguished guest speakers.  This activity was held at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases and the Chalermprakiat Conference Room, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University.
