Researchers and lecturers from Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University received awards from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) for 2015, MU Presidents Clinical Professor Udom Kachintorn, M.D., and FTM Dean Professor Yaowalark Sukthana, M.D., graced the award-winning ceremony to congratulate the award recipients on their achievement on February 2nd, 2016 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna. FTM researchers and lecturers received NRTC awards as follows;
• Professor Pannee Pitisutthithum, M.D., Deputy Dean for Translational Medicine and Innovation for National Outstanding Researcher Awards 2015 in Medical Science
• Associate Professor Pongrama Ramasoota, Director of Center of Excellence for Antibody Research (CEAR), Lecturer Dr. Pannamthip Pataksajjakul and their team for Invention Awards 2016 (Excellent Level) from the research on ‘Therapeutic human antibodies against Dengue virus’
• Assistant Professor Direk Limmathurotsakul, M.D., Associate Professor Narisarta Chantratita and Lecturer Dr. Wirongrong Chierakul, M.D. for Excellent Distinction Research Awards 2015 (Medical Science) from the research on ‘Trimemethoprim-sulphamethoxazole versus trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazole plus doxyclycline as oral eradicative treatment for melioidosis (MERTH): a multicentre, double-blind, non-inferiority, randomized controlled trial’.
