H. E. Pehin Abu Bakar Apong, Minister of Education, Brunei Darussalam and President of SEAMEO Council and distinguished delegations visited SEAMEO TROPMED Regional Centre for Tropical Medicine at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University on 14 January 2013 during 11.30-14.00 hr.

The visit was officially welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Pratap Singhasivanon, Secretary General/ Coordinator, SEAMEO TROPMED Network, Assoc. Prof. Yaowalark Sukthana, Centre Director, SEAMEO TROPMED/ Thailand and Dean of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University and Deputy Deans at Asia's Center of Excellence for Tropical Diseases, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University. During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Yaowalark Sukthana had introduced SEAMEO TROPMED/ Thailand and the Faculty of Tropical Medicine and briefed on background, roles and current activities of SEAMEO TROPMED/ Thailand. In this connection, Assoc. Prof. Pratap Singhasivanon had also jointly briefed on School Health issue.
