The FTM-MU Administrative Board led by Dean Pratap Singhasivanon, together with Professor Srivicha Krudsood the Deputy Dean for Research, Deputy Dean for Administration and Finance, Assoc. Prof. Porntip Petmitr, Deputy Dean for Education, Assoc. Prof. Waranya Wongwit, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Faculty Welfare, Dr. Amornrat Aroonnual , Deputy Dean for Quality Development ,Dr. Wirongrong Chierakul, Assistant dean for International Relations, Assst. Prof. Usa Boonyouen, Dr. Thundon Ngamprasertchai, Head of International Cooperation and Networking, Mr. Peerawat Maipanich and International Relation Officer, Ms. Siripilai Triratanarungsi paid a visit to Nepal during 6-9 March 2019. The objective of this visit was to foster fruitful collaboration between Institutes in Nepal and Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Planning on Partial Scholarship for Nepali Students in MsC and PhD. programs.
On 6 March 2019, FTM delegated were warm welcomed by H.E. Mr. Bhakavat Tanskul, Thai Ambassador, Kathmandu Nepal at Tribhuvan International Airport, afterwards, he accompanied FTM team to Ministry of Health and Populations to discuss about collaboration and partial scholarship planning for Nepali nationality students with Hon. Dr. Surendra Kumar Yadav, State Minister for Health of Nepal. In the evening of the same day FTM delegates had Welcome Dinner hosted by Nepali FTM Alumnus.
On 7 March 2019, FTM delegates paid a visit to Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences. Later on, there was a MOU signing ceremony and Token of Appreciation Exchange between FTM, Mahidol and IOST (Institute of Science and Technology) Tribhuvan University to strengthen good relationship and headed to central department of Microbiology, Institute of Science & Technology, Sukaraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital, National Public Health laboratory and National Tuberculosis center.
On 8 March 2019, FTM delegated traveled to Dhulikhel city to visit Kathmandu University and Dhulikhel Hospital – Kathmandu University School of Medical sciences (KUSMS) in the morning. Afterwards, FTM delegates traveled back to Kathmandu city to Ministry of Education, Courtesy call to Hon. Mr. Giriraj Mani Pokharel and had dinner hosted by Thai Ambassador at Royal Thai Embassy.
On 9 Macrh 2019, FTM delegates had Cultural Visit and traveled back to Thailand.This productive visit was successful to foster further collaborations and projects between FTM and Institutes in Nepal in the near future.
