| The Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University together with SEAMEO TROPMED Network organized Regional Course on Advanced Epidemiology during 7 - 18 October 2013 at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University. The training aims to provide knowledge and experience to understand and differentiate epidemiologic study designs with emphasis on their applications and limitations. In addition, the course objectives are also to highlight different statistical methods and how they link with epidemiologic studies and introduce learners to a variety of related methods to further expand the scope, validity, and usefulness of epidemiologic studies. The participants of this training course consist of 11 medical doctors, public health personnel and scientists from 9 countries are Brunei, Cambodia, Iran, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Thailand who particularly involves in Epidemiology and control of tropical diseases. |
