On 15^th December 2021, the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University hosted the Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting 2021 (JITMM Virtual 2021). At the Opening Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Weerapong Phumratanaprapin, Dean of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University and Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, JITMM Vitrtual 2021 commenced the program with the meeting report, followed by three welcoming remarks from Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong, Director-General of the Department of Disease Control, the Ministry of Public Health, Prof. Nicholas Day, Director of the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit, Thailand (MORU) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pratap Singhasivanon, Secretary-General/Coordinator of SEAMEO TROPMED Network. The meeting was officially opened by Prof. Banchong Bahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University. For this year, the meeting was held on a virtual streaming platform.
