On 2 February 2022, Professor Dr. Mallika Imwong, Head of Department of Molecular Tropical Medicine and Genetics, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University attended Thailand Inventor’s Day 2021 & 2022 which was held by the National Research Council of Thailand. She received the National Research Awards for Fiscal year 2022, on the title of “Elimination of Plasmodium Falciparum in Thailand”, from Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.
On this occasion, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University also attended the ceremony and congratulate to all Mahidol staff and students who won the award this year. The ceremony took place at Event Hall 102 – 104, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok.
