On 8 April 2022, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University held the 62rd Anniversary of Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University and Songkran Festival 2022. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerapong Phumratanaprapin, Dean, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University chaired the event and Asst. Prof. Teera Kusolsuk, Assistant Dean for Faculty Welfare and Special Affairs gave the report for the event. There were many activities including alms giving and food offering to 9 Buddhist monks, water pouring on Buddhist statue, building sand pagoda, virtual awards ceremony to the staff who received an academic and professional award for the year of 2021-2022 and watching video on the topic of “The Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University in the post COVID-19 world” and the Songkran blessings from our former Deans including Prof. Emeritus Santasiri Sornmani, Prof. Emeritus Tan Chongsuphajaisiddhi, Professor Yaowalak Sukthana and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pratap Singhasivanon. The objectives of this event were to celebrate the 62rd Anniversary of Faculty of Tropical Medicine and to preserve arts and culture. For this year, the event was held on both onsite and virtually via TROPMED YouTube channel.
