On 14 June 2022, a collaborative meeting between the Faculty of Tropical Medicine (FTM), Mahidol University and the School of Global Health (SGH), Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University occurred. Dean Weerapong Phumratanaprapin gave an overview about the Faculty of Tropical Medicine and Prof. Dr. Kiat Ruxrungtham, Director of the School of Global Health introduced the School of Global Health to the meeting. Later on, Prof. Dr. Suttipong Wacharasindhu, Senior Committee of the School of Global Health gave details about Global Health Modular Program and its pathway. Prof. Dr. Nattiya Hirankarn, Associate Dean for Graduate Affairs, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University also presented about Graduate Programs and potential research collaborators from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. Lastly, both universities invited each other to their upcoming SGH academic forum in July 2022 and FTM scientific meeting (JITMM 2022) in December 2022.
The objective of this meeting is to seek for possible collaborations in terms of double degree, shared resources/ staff exchange, networking, joint workshops and or developing new degree or non-degree programs between two universities in the near future for the benefits to society
