On Wednesday 15 June 2022, Dean Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University Assoc Prof Weerapong Phumratanaprapin together with Head Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornsawan Leaungwutiwong attended Handover Ceremony of the New Training Center for Foot and Mouth Diseases Research at the Regional Reference laboratory for SEA at Pak Chong, Nakhonratchasima province. The ceremony started with report on background of the collaboration between DLD and MORU by Professor Dr. Stuart Blacksell, MORU Project Leader.  Remarked on the USA’s support towards the collaboration and handover of the new Training Building Center by Mr. Daniel Caporaso, Chief, Regional Cooperative Engagement Office-Indo-Pacific, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), US Embassy Singapore. Remarked on the project congratulation by Mr. Marc Gilkey, South Asia-Pacific Regional Manager USDA, Animal and Plant health Inspection Service (APHIS). Remarked on Department of Livestock Development’s welcome and project appreciation and presented a token of appreciation by Deputy Director General Dr. Sopat Chavalkul. Afterward, distinguished guests walked through the posters and display in the exhibition area and attended Ribbon Cutting ceremony at the new Training Center and toured around the new building.
