On 26 July 2022, Dean Weerapong Phumratanaprapin and Administrative Board members together with MORU Director Prof. Nicholas Day, Chairman of the Wellcome Trust SEA Research Units Prof. Nicholas White and MORU Deputy Director and Head of Malaria Research Prof. Adrianus Dondorp welcomed Director of Research Programmes Cheryl Moore and team members from the Wellcome Trust to the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University and the Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU).

          On this occasion, Dean Weerapong Phumratanaprapin introduced his team members concerning international relations and student affairs, Prof. Kesinee Chotivanich, Deputy Dean for International Relations together with Assoc. Prof. Wirichada Pan-ngum, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. Director of Research Programmes Cheryl Moore also introduced her team members. Later on, Dean Weerapong Phumratanaprapin expressed his sincere appreciation to the Wellcome Trust for their kind support to MORU and the Faculty and thanks to MORU for a long term collaborative relationship with the Faculty. Prof. Nicholas Day also expressed his sincere thanks to the Wellcome Trust and the Faculty for all the support given.
