On 1 August 2022, the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University were given the Certificate of Award for Safety Management System for Chemical Laboratories according to Thai Industrial Standard 2677-2558 at "Thailand Research Expo 2022" organized by National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI). The 3 FTM Laboratories which have been awarded are as follows 1.) Vitamin Analysis Laboratory, Department of Tropical Nutrition and Food Science 2.) Cell and Tissue Culture Laboratory, Department of Clinical Tropical Medicine and 3.) Heavy metals Laboratory, Department of Social and Environmental Medicine.
            Prof. Kesinee Chotivanich, Deputy Dean for International Relations together with Assoc. Prof. Suwalee Worakhunpiset from Department of Social and Environmental Medicine and Ms. Natnicha Promyos from Department of Tropical Nutrition and Food Science attended the event and accepted the award on behalf of the Faculty from Adj. Prof. Dr. Anek Laothamatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI). This ceremony took place at the Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld in Bangkok.
