On 8 September 2022, Thai Society of Travel Medicine hosted an Academic Conference 2022 on the topic of “Safe Travel in the context of COVID-19”. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Pornthep Chantavanich, President of Thai Society of Travel Medicine and Advisor of Department of Tropical Pediatrics, Faculty of Tropical Medicine chaired this event. Moreover, Thai Society of Travel Medicine also organized the Board Annual meeting and Board Member Election. This event aims to provide the participants about the update on Travel Medicine and Travel Health issues during the COVID-19 Era.
There were 4 speakers from the Faculty of Tropical Medicine including Assoc. Prof. Watcharapong Piyaphanee, Director of Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Assoc. Prof. Viravarn Luvira, Asst. Prof. Wasin Matsee and Dr. Phimphan Pisutsan from Department of Clinical Tropical Medicine and 4 guest speakers including Dr. Ranida Techasuwanna and Dr. Parinda Wattanasri from Bureau of General Communicable Diseases, Department of Disease Control, Thailand, Dr. Nujareenart Kuhakasemsin from Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute and Dr. Pangrum Yongcharoen from Somdejprapinklao Hospital. This event was held at Chalermprakiat Conference Room, 5th Floor, Chalermprakiat Building and online via Zoom meetings.
