On 4 October 2024, the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University welcomed students in Matthayom 5 of the Mathematics-Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Special Program from Satriwittaya 2 School, Bangkok. On this occasion, the students participated in a study visit to observe the process of diagnosing parasite eggs using a microscope and collecting photographic data of the eggs. The purpose is to study and use as information in preparing a project aimed at detecting parasite eggs using the CiRA CORE platform, which is an AI system. The lecturers were Professor Samrerng Prummongkol from the Office of Educational Administration and Professor Pongruj Rattaprasert from the Department of Protozoology. This took place at the Prayong Radomyos Laboratory, 3rd floor of the Chamlong Harinasuta Building, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University.
