During 5-7 May 2024, Delegation from the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University/SEAMEO TROPMED Thailand led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kraichat Tantrakarnapa, Deputy Dean for Facilities and Environment as the Representative of the Dean of Faculty of Tropical Medicine and Centre Director of SEAMEO TROPMED Thailand paid a visit to the Institute for Medical Research (IMR)/SEAMEO TROPMED Malaysia. A team was warmly welcomed by Dr. Ami Fazlin Syed Mohamed, Director of the Institute for Medical Research (IMR) and Centre Director of SEAMEO TROPMED Malaysia and IMR teams at IMR Board Room, Level 6, Block C7.
On this occasion, they introduced themselves to each other, shared the program information to find the possibility on establishing a consortium between IMR-FTM and discussed on their possible collaborations in terms of training, attachment, and research activities. Apart from this, the FTM team had a chance to visit Biomedical Museum, Institute for Medical Research (IMR) in Kuala Lumpur and take the IMR Facility tour including Acarology Unit, Bacteriology Unit, Parasitology Unit and Transplant Immunology Unit.
