On 13 August 2024, Assoc. Prof. Weerapong Phumratanaprapin, Dean of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, Dr. Phimphan Pitsuwan, Assistant Dean for International Relations, and Dr. Natthida Sriboonvorakul, Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Tropical Medicine, warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Shaoling Lin and Assoc. Prof. Jiamiao Hu from the College of Food Sciences, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. Also, both researchers have been appointed as Visiting Professors at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine for the fiscal year 2024. The event occurred at 6601 Conference Room, 6th floor of the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne Building, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University.

         On this occasion, Dr. Hu presented information about the College of Food Sciences and proposed deepening collaboration with the Faculty of Tropical Medicine in exchanging and visiting opportunities for staff and students on research collaboration, and planning on jointly applying for grant applications. They also discussed the possibility of signing the MoU between the two institutions. We also invited Dr. Lin and Dr. Hu or any representatives from their college to attend the Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting (JITMM 2024) which will be held from 11-13 December 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand.
