Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), the Bureau of Vector-Borne Diseases Control, Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, the Country Health Information Systems and Data Use (CHISU) Program and the WHO Mekong Malaria Elimination Program organized “the Workshop on Cross-border Collaboration for Elimination of Malaria along the International Borders” during 16 - 17 October 2024 at Picnic Hotel Bangkok. The participants are hospital personnel and public health staff from Thailand, Lao PDR and Cambodia. This 1.5-day workshop aims to present the current and past situation of cross-border malaria control initiatives, focusing on key activities, outcomes, and challenges among each country’ borderline. It also seeks to build a network and strengthen capacity for malaria elimination by sharing key data on case management, treatment follow-up, foci investigation, high-risk areas and population for targeted intervention.
