On 1 September, 2024, Prof. Dr.Kesinee Chotivanich, Deputy Dean for International Relations, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr.Wirichada Pan-ngum, professor from Department of Tropical Hygiene, warmly welcomed the Modeling and Applications (ModApp) academic group from the Institute of Mathematics, University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), including Dr. Carlene P.C. Pilar-Arceo, Director of the Office of the International Linkages, and Dr. Aurelio A. de los Reyes V, head of the ModApp group, along with Dr. Bryan S. Hernandez, and Dr. Victoria May P. Mendoza, convened at 6601 Conference Room, 6th floor, the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne Building, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University.
During this occasion, they discussed on possible collaborations in research and education, particularly in infectious diseases modeling, as the UPD delegation aimed to identify mutually beneficial research opportunities. Additionally, they discussed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that is currently in progress and is expected to be signed soon, which will further support research collaboration and facilitate staff and student exchanges between the two institutions in the future.
