Associate Professor Dr. Pongrama Ramasoota and his team from Faculty of Tropical Medicine received Outstanding Research Award from National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) from Research work “Therapeutic and diagnostic Monoclonal Antibodies Against Tropical Diseases”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pongrama Ramasoota from Center of Excellence for Antibody Research (CEAR), Faculty of Tropical Medicine and his team; Dr. Pannamthip Pitaksajjakul, Dr. Ladawan Sariya, Dr. Chonlathip Pipattanaboon together with Japanese collaborator from Osaka University; Prof. Kazuyoshi Ikuta, Dr. Tadahiro Sasaki, Dr. Tamaki Okabayashi received “Outstanding Research Award from National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) from Research work “Therapeutic and diagnostic Monoclonal Antibodies Against Tropical Diseases” This Research projects consisted of the Development of human monoclonal antibodies that could neutralized 4 serotypes of Dengue virus, in vitro and in vivo (Dengue infected Mices and Monkey) And research project of Diagnostic Monoclonal Antibodies specific to Dengue virus, Influenza virus and Foot and Mouth diseases virus, respectively. Output from these research projects were 8 peer reviewed publications, 2 US patents, 5 Ph.D graduated, 4 M.Sc. graduated.
Assoc. Prof. Pongrama Ramasoota will received this award from prime Minister in The Inventor day on 3 February, 2014 at Impact Arena Muangthong thanee. |
