The Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the ASEAN Center of Military Medicine (ACMM), is organizing the Training Program on Global and Tropical Infectious Diseases Control for ACMM from 8–19 June 2026. The program welcomes 11 participants from Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. It aims to strengthen participants’ knowledge and skills in the epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, surveillance, prevention, and control of infectious and tropical diseases, including malaria, dengue fever, and other diseases of public health importance.
On 8 June 2026, the opening ceremony was honored by Captain. Thanasawat Chaiyakul, Chief of Staff of the ASEAN Center of Military Medicine (ACMM), who delivered welcome remarks on behalf of ACMM. Professor Dr. Kesinee Chotivanich, Deputy Dean for International Relations, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, also delivered welcome remarks on behalf of the Faculty and emphasized the importance of regional collaboration and capacity building in strengthening preparedness and response to infectious disease threats across ASEAN Member States.
