Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yaowalark Sukthana, M.D., Dean, faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University received the National Award for Outstanding Preventive Medicine Physician of the year 2013 as a person who makes a sacrifice, uses knowledge and abilities to subsidize preventive medicine in Thailand regularly. Assoc. Prof. Yaowalark received the Award from His Excellency Mr. Kasem Watanachai, Privy Councillor. Dean was also invited to be a moderator in the special seminar session ‘Thai’s Public Health forward to ASEAN Community’ with well-known speakers; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seri Wongmonta, Dr. Chatree Duangnet and Assist. Prof. Dr. Chalermchai Boonyaleepun, M.D.
