Background

Dr. Vipa Thanachartwet is Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Tropical Medicine. She earned her M.D. degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital in Mahidol University, Thailand. She completed her Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Clinical Nephrology at Phramongkutklao Hospital and College of Medicine, Thailand. She holds Diplomas in Subspecialty Board of Internal Medicine and Board of Nephrology, both from Thai Medical Council. She works at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine and the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Mahidol University, involving in patients’ care, clinical research and teaching. She teaches students from the Diploma, MSc and PhD courses at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Vipa is an internist and nephrologist with special interest in dengue, malaria, snake envenomation and other tropical diseases. Her expertise include clinical research of tropical diseases.
