Dr.
Charin Thawornkuno is a Lecturer in the Department of Molecular Tropical
Medicine and Genetics. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Biotechnology
from Mahidol University, Thailand and completed his Ph.D. in Applied Bioscience
at Hokkaido University Japan. He is actively involved in research in the
Department and teaches at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.
Dr.
Charin’s research expertise is the molecular biology of cancer. His specialization
includes the study of useful compounds for food additives. He is especially
interested in investigating the growth effect of cholangiocaroinoma cell lines
treated with isoflavones and its derivatives.
