Background

Dr. Supachai Topanurak Molecular is Lecturer in the Department of Tropical Medicine and Genetics. He obtained his B.Sc. in Biochemical Technology and Ph.D. in Proteomics and Protein Chemistry from Chiangmai University, Thailand. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA. He is involved in research in the department and teaching at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.

Research

Dr. Supachai’s research expertise is protein chemistry and proteomics. He has an extensive experience on proteomics of bacteria and mammalian cell line, with special training on cellular and molecular biology combined with proteomic approaches. His specializations include bioinformatics for protein, systems biology, and mass spectrometry for proteomics. He is also interested in antimicrobial resistance and infectious disease-related cancers.
