Dr.
Suraporn Yimsamran is a researcher in the Department of Tropical Hygiene. He
received his B.Ed. in Biology from Srinakharinwirot University, M.Sc. in
Epidemiology from Mahidol University, and Ph.D. in Geoinformatics from Suranaree
University of Technology, Thailand. Dr. Surapon also holds a B.Ag. Degree in
Agricultural Extension from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University.
Dr.
Surapon specializes in GIS and remote sensing for epidemiology studies of
tropical diseases, with emphasis on malaria, helminthiasis, and ectoparasitic
infestation. He is actively involved in several epidemiological studies
conducted by colleagues at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol
University.
