Background

Dr. Sarunporn Tandhavanant is a researcher in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. She has a B.Sc. in Medical Technology and M.Sc. in Immunology, both from Mahidol University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Medical Science from Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University, Osaka, Japan.

Dr Sarunporn has a special interest in molecular biology of bacteria, particularly the Burkholderia pseudomallei and Vibrio parahaemolyticus. She is involved in research activities in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology related to melioidosis and V. parahaemolyticus.
